  1. E105 startup error = brick

Well, I got about two hours of play time out of my onex before it bricked. This is ludicrous. If my local MS store won't exchange it(got it at Amazon), I'm returning it and getting a Switch. MS offered to send me a new console and then I could send the broken
one back in the same box. However, they would temporarily charge me another $500 dollars until they get the broken unit.

    :)

Same thing here. Mine has also started giving me a startup error "E105". I can hard reset and it will work again for awhile.

When you get your replacement console, be sure to connect it to the internet via wired ethernet when you set it up. The series of E(xxx) errors usually come about from a failed/corrupted update, and updating via Wifi has the possibility of the connection
    dropping at the worst times.

During the replacement process with Microsoft, charging your card for the full price of another console is standard procedure. The charge will be removed once they receive your broken unit.

  5. Thanks for ur advice. I do always use a wired connection. I'm headed to the MS store to exchange for a new one. I understand why they charge the 500, I just wish they could just give you a set amount of days to send ur console back and then charge. I'm poor.
I don't have another 500 to give or lend MS. Thanks again for the advice about the connection during setup.
