    I received a brand new xbox one x for my birthday last year after having the same Xbox 360 for the PREVIOUS 10 years, no joke. I enjoyed the upgrade and the new games that the console supported, until about six months in when I started getting the E102/105
    message. At first, unplugging it and plugging it in seemed to temporarily fix it, so I didn't think much of it. Two months pass and the error recurrs more consistently and I contact customer support. They took me through some troubleshooting steps instead
    of replacing it because my xbox had just gone out of warranty a FEW DAYS earlier. This was incredibly frustrating to me because I had only been playing the system for about 8 months or so and the warranty was one year. The troubleshooting tips seemed to work
    okay. I'd have occasional problems getting the errors, but they resolve themselves after some time.

    Fast forward to three days ago. I'm getting the error message incessantly and decide to contact customer service again. I tell them the problem I'm having, how long it's been happening, and what the previous customer support representative told me. He puts
    me through the same steps as the previous person and during the process I tell him how upset I am that I paid $500 for a brand new Xbox and it doesn't even work for a year, while my xbox 360 is still in perfect working order. He also thinks it's odd that the
    warranty would have expired before a year of playing it. He double checks the warranty date and informs me that it did in fact expire in February 2019; HOWEVER they would be able to extend the warranty one year from the first time I signed in, which was roughly
    three weeks after my September 8 birthday. That one year date passed just a couple weeks ago.

    My huge issue with this is that the first customer service rep didn't mention the warranty extension AND did not create a ticket for my call. Since I have no proof that I actually spoke with him in the first place, the second rep I spoke with is left with
    his hands tied and is unable to extend the warranty just a few weeks for me. Now, I'm stuck with a $500 paper weight that I can't afford to repair after a very short stint with it. Very upsetting.

    In addition to being an xbox guy, I am also an apple guy. I only mention this to compare the customer service of the two. They understand that I will continue to buy their products if they provide reliable devices and back them up with great customer service.
    If I had an iPhone die two months after their one year warranty was up due to a manufacturer defect, I have no doubt they would repair/replace that device without question. A free $1000 phone, that realistically costs 1/100 of that to make, is no hair off
    the back of a $1 trillion company, but it creates a happy, loyal customer for life. Instead of accommodating my small request, Microsoft decided to alienate me as a customer and force me to post a diatribe in a forum that a customer service specialist may
    not even see. If left unresolved I may be forced to take my business somewhere I will be appreciated.

    Install the Xbox-Insider-Hub App

    Press Y on the homescreen of your XBOX ONE and search in the search bar for XBOX-Insider-HUB and install it.

    Now you can press and hold the xbox button on the xbox one Controller (like if you would to want to turn off the controller) and select report Problem.

    3. On the power menu, select Report a problem.
