Hello everyone,

I've been having problems with my xbox for the past few months. It all started when my xbox would freeze up constantly , then it wouldn't open any of my apps or games and now it won't start up at all. When turning on the Xbox I'm welcomed with a E102 error
code.

This happens every time I turn on my xbox one. I've literally tried everything:

-System update

-Factory default

-Factory default with a USB

-Power cycling

I've tried it all and yet I'm still ending up with same results. I've referred to the Xbox error page for solutions countless times. I've tried everything on that page (literally everything) and i still have the same error.

So my question is; is there still hope for my xbox or is it diagnosed to be broken?

Type of xbox: Original xbox one

How long with the issue: 4 - 5 months

Error code: E102

Warranty on xbox: Expired

Please help!

So getting an xbox one s or xbox one x would be the valued solution?

If the original xbox one is discontinued does that mean sending it to Microsoft to repair it is not an option?

You could try, as the out of warranty price for repair is around $135 USD I believe, so you can see if that's still available here:

Register your console via serial number and see if you can order a repair out of warranty.

You will need to send it in for a repair. Not sure if the Original Xbox One will be abled to be repaired seeing as they discontinued the production of it.

Hey Maxlin,

Thank you for reaching out. If you haven't already done so, I'd like for you to try accessing the troubleshooting menu and performing a factory reset on the Xbox.

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
Press and hold the BIND button and the EJECT button, and then press the
Xbox button on the console.
Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

Once the menu is on your screen, select "Reset this Xbox" and choose the reset which keeps your games and apps Let us know how it goes!
