    Hi!

    I am trying to fix an Xbox for a friend of mine that won't start. When you turn it on, you recieve the error message at the top. I have spent five hours tinkering with it while downloading several offline updates, as well as a USB factory reset. I am
    getting angry at the fact that nobody seems to have had this problem before, so there's no anything telling me what to do. everytime I try to do a USB update, I get error code E101 00000503 80070003.

    Somebody, please help!

    Hello Drāgo the Dragon,

    Thank you for replying back and updating us on the current status of the issue. At this time, if you have already gone through the troubleshooting steps for both E102 and E101 then the only thing left to do is to send the console in to get repaired.
    There are two ways to send the console in for a repair, you can either go through the
    Devices Website, which will allow you to register your console to the account and create a repair order. Or you can
    Contact Xbox Support for further assistance. In either case you will be able to create a repair order to fix the issues with the console.

    1.) I have no internet or ethernet cable plugged into/set up on the Xbox.

    2.) I have done everything that it says on every error on the error page and nothing has worked.

    thanks for the response, but I do know a bit more about tech than the normal person. normally I can find a fix or work my way around it, but this time I don't think I can.

    When you did the USB OSU (offline system update) did you disconnect the wired ethernet cable that is connected to your gateway/router or are you using WiFi?

    Solution

    To resolve this problem, use the Xbox One startup error troubleshooter:

    1. Go to the
      Xbox One startup error troubleshooter      .
    2. Scroll down the screen and select E101.
    3. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.
