    E101 & 102 - Off-line Update not helping...


    I keep getting the same E101 & 102 Codes - I've tried everything over and over... the offline update through the USB doesn't help at all (and yes, I've formatted the stick properly and extracted the file. My warranty is up - does anyone have a suggestion
    on what to do? My OneX should last more than 16 months!!

    Thanks for responding! I did the OSU1... but it never got beyond the "configuring your console" screen, in other words it never started the download. Are you saying to make sure it's disconnected from the gateway during the attempt?
    Part of the instructions in System updates solution require you to reconnect the network cable after the OSU is finished. IE not connected
    to your gateway while performing OSU.

    If you have already tried all possible solutions provided through our
    troubleshoot Xbox One startup errors     support article, the last option left would be to get a
    repair done for the console.

    Where can I access the OSU2? I only see the OSU1 available...
    I'm sorry, I may have misread your post. I believe the OSU2 is for the OG xbox not the X.

    The OSU2 deals with older OS versions on xbox.

    If you are using a wired ethernet cable, When you did the OSU was the console disconnected from your network gateway?

    If you were using a wired connection, plug your network cable back into the console AFTER the OSU is complete.

    Did you try the OSU2 file or only OSU1?

    You may need the OSU2 file if the build number of the OS requires it to complete offline update.

    Step 10 of System updates solution has more detail.

    Well it worked finally... I bought a new thumb drive and although it failed 6 times, it finally updated. Thanks everyone!
