    E100 Brick After Auto Update


    After receiving the auto update for March, my system won't boot and Microsoft wants to charge me $150 to fix an issue that their update caused. Seems like a marketing scheme, break everyone's Xbox One, charge them $150 to fix it, so that they would rather
    go out an buy a new Xbox One S. It was working fine pre-update. Microsoft is losing a long time Microsoft customer. Looks like I'll put that $150 dollars towards a competitors console.

    xbox error E100

    Makes download update and verrifying update until 58% but applying update never start. Then the xbox makes one restart and after i got the message: E100 00000703 80910017.

    I got two options: restart this xbox, troubleshoot.

    At least your xbox is still functioning.

    Mine randomly bricked yesterday, awaiting a fresh update to address these issues...

    According the chat staff (manager), it should be rolling out as early as this week!

    Fingers crossed it'll sort these E100, E200 errors myself and others have been experiencing :(

    On the update screen this is the xbox one equivalent to a ring of death i would suggest sending it in for a warranty or taking it to CEX for a cheaper repair that will however void your warranty.

    this error plagued my xbox one x and it has been a brick since its due to a hard drive burn out but as the Blue Ray and the Hard drive come paired microsoft are the best option.

    Can't install latest update

    Im in the same boat but maybe worse. My XBONE downloaded the update in the background and the next time i turned on the console I got a black screen and e100 error. after countless chats and a phone call they want me to pay 115 dollars to replace the unit.
    Then through some random act of god, I came home today and turned on the console and it booted like nothing happend. Of course it forced me to do the update again and again it bricked. I cant get it back again and offline doesnt work. theres definitley a poison
    pill in that update
