for that first free month you'd have to buy the game at full retail which would end up being to expensive if I didnt enjoy that first month..and even if i did enjoy it...its still not worth over $200 to play it for the first year and then $180 if i wanted
to play it the second year. wayyy too much for 2 years of a game...lol i mean $380 for 2 years of a game....ROFL get out of here with that.

I played wow for years for the same price. If you want to play a good mmo there will be a sub. The f2play model is very bad. Maybe if they went the swtor route and gave you the option to sub. But if you choose free it is so restricted and not worth it. So
when I go back and play around on that game I pay the sub. Sorry 6ft your logic is a bit flawed. You aren't locked in for a year. You can cancel and resub anytime. If you want a quality mmo subs are good.

  6. I've said all along, I'll buy it and play it solidly for the first month as you get the first month free. If I think after that month it's not worth the monthly fee then I'll just move on.

If it's a game where I think "wow" then I won't mind paying the monthly fee until I either have had enough or something else comes along that I want to play more.

I am really looking forward to it though, I need an RPG E.S.O :)

^^ This is exactly why I won't be bothering with it. I love TES, would probably still be playing Skyrim if I could play it on my XB1. But I just won't force myself to concede to
this method. It's like telling me that I'll be paying $60 for a game, but I will have to get all the play I want from it within a month or I have to pay a sub... or be stuck with a $60 coaster.

That poses some major problems for me. First, I've rarely ever purchased a game that I only played for a month and then just completely abandoned, SP or MP. Sometimes I will get
a game and play it for months on end.

Next, some will defend it by saying it's an MMORPG... and for some reason, that's supposed to make it special? So much more special than any other MP game I've ever played over
XBL that it merits $15/month on top of the std XBL fee? I don't think so.

Even if I did think it was worth the sub and decided to pay it, I definitely wouldn't pay it for months I didn't use it, that's just silly... and wasteful. So what about when a
new game comes out? Or DLC? Destiny, Halo 5, Middle Earth: SOM, Dying Light... just to name a few I want off the top of my head. I'd better start making a list of months I'll probably need to cancel my sub so I can remember to do it. Or will I have to remember
to pay it each month? I wonder when DLC will be released for these games? Will I still be playing these games right up until the DLC is released? I guess I could try to find a listing of release dates... and maybe some projected release dates for DLC. Then
I could set up a series of reminders on my phone to remind me to cancel my sub... unless I have to remember to pay it each month... then I guess I'd need a series of reminders that games/DLC was arriving so I didn't pay the sub out of habit... geez what a
PITA, before you know it I'm going to need a spread sheet to track all this.

OK, I admit some of that is a bit exaggerated but it doesn't nullify the point. I need a good RPG myself. Guess I'll just wait for Destiny to fit that bill. Sure hope Bungie doesn't
decide to go with a sub fee.

People act like this is the first game to have a sub lol this why good mmo RPGs don't exist on consoles. Give it a year then I'm sure it will go f2p on the console

I'm excited for ESO I love MMO games the community is what makes MMO though, really wish this was cross-platform play across all three versus segregated to each platform

Go on YouTube and watch Angry Joes review of elder scrolls online. He was far less than impressed. Actually he pretty much said the game is pathetic. I know it's just his opinion like any review is, but Joe has always been right on when it comes to games
    as far as I'm concerned.

Despite some people who seem to have made it their lives mission to tell people how wrong they are for having their own tastes and opinions on games, I am looking forward to this game. I played the PC beta, and while it is guilty of having some staple MMO
"failings", I look forward to diving into the game, as it is still on the ES universe.

just trying to protect my fellow gamers from future price gouging games such as this...sorry if i care and dont want this to become the norm for mmo games...i would like a space build/destroy mmo type game someday...but i would not like to pay over $380
to play it for the first 2 years.

Sorry but the vid. Didn't think bout the age thing. Oops. I'm not trying to tell anyone not to get the game but you should always make an informed decision. Especially when the product is going to require a constant stream of money!

Future price gouging? This price model for mmos has been around a very long time. I paid 14.99/month for swg and wow way back when they launched and paid 60 for the software. I'm surprised the price hasn't went up. Micro transactions in f2play mmos is where
    the price gouging is.
