E-mail about monthly renewal when I just renewed annual in Feb?

So I just got an e-mail today stating that my Xbox Live Gold monthly subscription is scheduled to be renewed on May 17, 2016, but I have an annual subscription that just renewed in February. Can anybody explain this? My account doesn't show that I have a
monthly subscription for Xbox Live either.

Is there a monthly subscription for Xbox Live on Xbox One? How much is it?

You can buy a 12 month auto renewal for $60. Monthly auto renewal is $9.99.

Will Xbox Live Gold Cards work with EA Access?

xbox support via twitter told me that EA Access requires something that can be renewed monthly or annually....basically they want debit or credit so they can just auto charge you if you forget about it

By any chance, do you have another account that you subscribed to a monthly subscription before? Its possible that you set your email as the billing email of this other account so you received the renewal notification.

But I also recommend trying to contact support so they could check your account. Its possible that you have another subscription running at the same time. They should be able to check all this details using there tools.

There is no other account and if I click any links regarding my account in the e-mail it directs me to this account, which suggests the subscription in question isn't for another account.

Unfortunately, You can't renew your Xbox Game Pass annually instead of monthly.

Ok. However, I got the automated Form 24 e-mail from Microsoft that says my accounts have auto-renewed (one was in the first week of February the other a couple of weeks later). I would have expected some sort of card/billing declined e-mail not a successful
auto-renewal e-mail.

I never got e-mailed when they did an automatic renewal, even when I already did the process to keep it off. =_=
