    Dying light


    Dying light is the only multiplayer game that I can't play with my friends. My nat is open and I have reset console and router also did everything tech support told me to do and still can't join friends. It tells me game session is unavailable. On a fluke
    it let me in on two separate occasions but I have spent hours trying to team up with friends with no success. Any advice on how to fix this would be great. Thank you.

    Did you purchase Dying Light: The Following (which is just an expansion for Dying Light) or did you actually purchase Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition (which is Dying Light and the Expansion)? It kinda sounds like you have just purchased the
    expansion and would still need to purchase the main game.

    Hey JR,

    Sorry to hear about your game, let's try to get you back online! I see you've done a bit of troubleshooting on your own. If you haven't already, run a connection test and if you get an error message, do the corresponding steps that follow on our

    Connection Solution site    . Have your friends do the same in case the issue is on their end.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.
    4. Select Network.
    5. Select Network settings. Any known outages will appear in the middle of the screen.
    6. On the right side of the Network settings screen, select
      Test multiplayer connection      .

    The only two thing that I can suggest is to perform a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
    Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. If that doesn't work then possibly a factory reset.

    I would try some of the things you have already done again. Try turning off your Xbox and unplugging it for at least 30 seconds, then turning it back on. Then restart your router, and check the NAT type again. (Even though I know your NAT type is open.)
    Have you guys tried switching the host of the lobby to someone else to see if that works?

    I noticed that when I checked Dying Light's Twitter!

    I wouldn't be surprised if they've sort of left Dying Light to its own devices while they focus on the upcoming Dying Light 2. I'm excited to play Dying Light as well as Dying Light 2, but after having so many issues with the multiplayer and seeing several
    people experience the same issue since 2015 without finding a solution, I'm a little nervous about it.

    We'll see how it goes--it's a fun game either way!
