Dying Light Launch Date

The UK release date is the 28th and it's now 00:13 and it won't unlock the pre-order as it still says play on 30/01/2015

 

Found out UK has now been delayed until the 30th on X1 but not on ps4.

 

It says 30th on playstation store as well

 

So the wrong date has *** up the ability for anybody to play the game on release, and now the developers have changed the "official" release date to the 29th, presumably because they knew that Microsoft (and Sony) wouldn't have it fixed before then so changing
the date is easier.

This delay is not good enough... It goes against advertising and trading standards in the UK. Gamers in affected countries deserve some form of compensation or show of 'good will' from Microsoft. I have an Xbox One and my wife has a PS4. I'm twiddling my
fingers waiting to play Dying Light while she is already well into the game.

 

One disadvantage of digital games. At least with the physical disc, if someone ships early, you can play it whenever it arrives, although not in this case, obviously.

It's out in the UK on ps4 as my friends are online playing it. Just UK xbox one got delayed

 

Guess we'll just have to wait and see

 

I wonder if the connection issues will still be happening tonight when we can finally play the game.

If I stay up till 1am one more time, and have no game to show for it, it'll be refund time.

First, the game was coming out on the 28th, then the 29th, then the 30th, and now these connection issues may stop us from being able to unlock it.

I'd better be finally be able to play it tonight or I'll be long past caring about this game any more. I can always buy a preowned disc in a few months for half of what I've paid for a non-functioning digital version.

 

Or just be patient, problems happen, nothing we can do but wait.

 

I'm a patient person, but there's only so much that anybody can take.

There has been nothing but problems with the launch of Dying Light in countries outside the US and this connection issue, if not fixed soon, is going to cause even more launch issues.

I didn't pay $126.45 for a game to sit on my hard drive just taking up space for over a week.

One more delay due to connection issues will pretty much be the last straw, and not just for me.

We can write on forums until we're blue in the face, it won't change anything. The only thing we can do to make them pay attention, is to do something that hurts their profits by cancelling preorders and getting refunds. It ceases being about having to wait,
and being about sending a message.

 

Hmm, must admit it's interesting that we don't seem to have got any confirmation from Xbox as to what is going on.
