Dying Light Launch Date

So, I live in Australia and preordered (and have already preloaded) a digital copy of the Dying Light Ultimate Edition (for $126.45), which is listed on the store page as launching on the 30th of January.

However, the developers and the publishers have both come out and said that digital copies of the game will be launching on the 28th in Australia.

So which is it? If it is really going to launch on the 28th, will the incorrect date on the store page cause unlock issues when the launch day arrives?

On top of that, the delay of physical copies now means that anybody that buys the game on a disc gets the Cargo & Cuisine DLC and the Ultimate Survivor Pack for free. It's great that they did something for people affected by the delays, but it essentially
means that the troublemaker outfit and the horde game mode are the only things I will get for the extra $26.50 I paid for the Ultimate Edition over the standard game. Money well spent? I think not.

Anyway, the game looks great and I can't wait to play it, but this whole thing has left a sour taste in my mouth regarding preorders, especially after the whole Master Chief Collection debacle.

agreed the xb store is bugged and msoft never told us it gets playable on the 30th. i am so mad at msoft for lying to me i either want my money back or for the game to be released at current release date advertised on store (29/01/2015) today btw

I hope you're right about not causing any issues.

As for the free content, they are giving away the free DLC to every single person that buys a physical copy of the disc in a region that has delays on the discs, which is basically everywhere outside the US. People that preordered a digital copy aren't getting
anything because there's no delay on digital.

My problem with it is, I paid quite a bit extra for content that they are just giving away for free now.

So I've pre ordered dying light today because on tech lands official site it states it's out tomorrow ( 28th Jan ) digitally in the UK, but on the the Xbox store it says it's playable on the 30th. I hope this won't affect me playing at midnight later, If
it does I'll be expecting a refund considering I've bought the rights to that game on release date and the official release is the 28th. It's just a problem on Microsofts end.

 

I'm sure Microsoft just need to click a few buttons and change the date and it'll work so I don't see what the problem is. Australians are 12 hours ahead and they didn't have access at midnight either and if it happens to me too I'll be fuming, spending
an extra £15-20 for digital due to physical disc copy set backs of a month. Shocking.

Yeah we deserve one, I've been through so much hassle trying to get some light on the subject and nothing. Spoke to Xbox support earlier and they were trying tell me I was wrong and its released on the 30th. Support chat keeps disconnecting me and no one's
replying on here from Microsoft. Also sent techland an email and nothing, what a way to treat your customers. If it doesn't work at midnight I'm going start playing ps4 a lot more frequently, had so much less trouble with them while downloading games off the
store.

 

My season pass isn't showing up it just says manage with a black screen so I can't get my dlc I paid for the code went through what's going on and when will I get my stuff

 

I had that problem with COD AW but it worked fine in the end so try not to threat just spoke to support again and they said that no matter what the dying light site says for release it's definitely out on Friday in the UK ( 28th ) so that we don't have
as much server traffic. It isn't good enough though, after the drop of physical copies by a month and now getting our hopes up only to get let down by Microsoft. I think it's disgraceful, personally.
