Dying Light for Xbox One - Lets chat.

^^ As much as I want Dying Light, I want The Witcher 3 more so it may hurt this games sales....at least initially.

 

Anything with Zombies I want, sign me up!!!

 

I'll be picking up The Witcher 3 and Dying Light ;-) But I think it'll be fine. There's tons of people waiting for a good zombie game. When's the next big gaming event? I want to see some new gameplay at night. Maybe learn more about some weapons, skills,
etc.

 

From what I've seen of Dying Light thus far, it looks good, but it's just not something I'm into... It reminds me of the Left for Dead series, which I honestly didn't much care for. So, for now, this game is a wait and see for me.

 

The left for dead series is only good on PC. On console it is okay, but leaves much to be expected... Honestly, there haven't been any good Zombie games out recently and developers aren't really heading towards that direction. Three things I want to see
in the next two years. A new Zombie FPS that isn't indie based, A zombie openworld (Confirmed with this game), and a Zombie flying game (Not much for game play but just something I want to see done). As it stands Plants Vs Zombies was the door in the coffin,
so to speak, for the hype DR3 left behind for the genre.

 

I'm perfectly fine with this game being pushed back to feb. There are way too many games that I want, that are coming out oct/nov. Not only are they going to cost me nearly $1000, I don't have time to play them all. With another good game coming out every
tuesday in oct/nov it is almost going to be a waste to me. I've been waiting since the launch games with almost nothing to play, now I'm going to be drowning in them.

Even though this sounds like I'm complaining, I'm actually super pumped! I hope they really put everything they have into this game. I love zombie games and want to see the genre continue to grow.

 

L4D was TONS of fun on console but do agree PC of course had it best with all the things they were able to do. Regardless L4D was great and wish they would give us L4D3 but that's another topic.

I always wanted to see a zombie game with a good story (like the Telltale games) but with action. Be able to customize a character (man/woman), select a class, etc etc.

Anyways I'm sure Dying Light will be loads of fun ;-)

 

yes! looks great, i hate that it keeps getting pushed back. but then again, there are a lot of good games coming out before, to keep us entertained, so it's ok. we'll get it in do time ^_^

I'm trying to build up excitement for 1 of my favorite classic games of all time that nobody seems to care about despite the fact that it just released for about $7 - also, I don't really care about Dying Light; it's just another zombie game in a horde of
other zombie games that have been releasing over the years. Even the whole parkour thing is starting to be done to death in a lot of games, so that doesn't really help either, IMO...

 

Parkour has been a bit overdone and yes even zombie games are losing momentum. Though a Zombie parkour seems a refresing to the legion of fans. Though another world is great but to be honest wrong crowd to reach for on this topic.

 

TBH, I agree that parkour seems to be the newest trend that devs are jumping on. <Really didn't plan that. That being said, I'm not that much of a fan of it and I could care less if any new games use it or not.

As for the whole zombie thing getting old... well, I'm not one of those people who goes crazy about something just because most of my friends are. I hated the DR series (there, I said it lol). Not that I hated the concept or even the game itself, but the
controls just always felt slow and cumbersome. L4D wasn't bad, but I guess I'm not one to have to play every zombie game out just because it's a pop culture thing. I like to watch for the ones that have the aspects I'm interested in and look good as well and
I think Dying Light fits. I like what I see so far and I'm ready for a 'good' zombie game... let's just hope it can deliver.
