Dying Light (First 15 Minutes & more)

I hate that life has got so busy and snow storm after snow storm hasn't helped either. I have enjoyed this game a ton so far there has been a few times now I have actually jumped as I picked a lock to turn around and there is a zombie staring right at me.

Co-op is fun but as with most games on the Xbox one my 5 Meg connection seems to suffer from periods of lag not always but there is points that it is bad. But this game is playable unlike MMC which is unplayable for me still in multiplayer.

Still only a about a 1/4 of the way in the main story been doing all the side quests I can get right now which is what I like most about this game you can play at your own pace either plow through it or like I enjoy doing explore and do quest explore some
more etc.

I look forward to the add on packs to this game.

I've finished the main story, just about 42% on side missions so still tons to do but I joined a friend today who is a bit further back than me in co-op but although I ended replaying missions I've already done but it was just so much fun to play still.

I expected to like this because I am a fan of the Dead Island series but not this much, easily in my top Xbox One games played to date.

 

i ended up getting this on Friday, i'm very pleased with it, only like 12% in, enjoying the dialogue and gameplay, the drop kick is my favorite skill, was worried about the how quickly the weapon degrade, but doesn't actually bother me since playing it,
weapons and crafting supplies are everywhere.

only things i don't like are the very hard lockpicks, feels like there should be more of a reward, but i've only been getting some ammo, and police baton most of the time, and that the locks reset if you have to back out and deal with a zombie or something.

so far this is a solid 8/10 for me.

 

^ The police baton (modified with blueprint) in the early stages of the game, was one of my favorite weapons.

 

Is the "complete all side quests" achievement bugged for everyone? I'm pretty sure I've done them all (including all of the witch parts) unless challenges count as well?

Fun game but it has a bug problem. Luckily I haven't been hit with very bad ones.

 

I've still got 3-4 achievements that won't pop.

 

^^ I've read quite a few issues with achievements on this game especially the "Side Quest" one.

To be honest I don't know if I've got any that haven't unlocked that should of, got one yesterday for reaching a certain skill level and my side quest one is at 54% now so it is going up.

Brilliant game though, 46 hours in and still tons to do and co-op just puts the icing on the cake

Techland has revealed that Dying Light is to get a new Hard Mode
for free.

I've just started it from the beginning in an attempt to unlock them few achievements that stopped tracking. Good job I enjoyed it enough to start it again lol.

 

Im going to pick this up on the 27th. Will be looking for some co-op parnters if your around, Doc, Goat, anyone?

@ Genchy, what's it worth?

I mean by the time you pick it up my character will be maxed out with all the "Uber L33T SkiLlzzz" you can have, a character like that don't come cheap!

( If I'm on I will jump in with you mate ) ...

 

Almost forgot,

Genchy, careful going in a game with Codger, him and his explosive weapons, well lets just say I've lost count of how many times he has blown me up, accidental and on purpose :/
