DVR records only about a minute but no more

DVR provides great performance comparing to other screen recording solutions, game's FPS is not reduced even for a bit. But the problem is with the recording length: it's only about a minute long, precisely 48 seconds. And recording process acts oddly: if
background recording (I don't know actual name for "background recording", because my app is in russian) is OFF, I'm able to successfully record and save video 48 seconds long using Win + Alt + R command. But I have to watch the timer, because if it reaches
57 seconds it stops ans states "There's nothing to record. Play some more and try again". If background recording is ON, then it only saves first clip. All others, if I try to record more, are exact copy of the first one. It's really odd, and I don't know
what to do. Limit for a clip is 1 hour in app settings. Clip length for background record is 10 minutes. So it should work. What prevents it to record a clip for 1 hour when I hit Win + Alt + R?

XB1 DVR Functions..... Question

well I know the DVR is always recording a 15 minute loop.. non stop.. no matter what.... but what happens when you say XB RECORD.. will it record 5 minutes forward from when you spoke... or the previous 5 minutes

Things to add to the Uplaod app

i thought id maybe try posting about what i think the upload app needs considering peggle 2 and battlefield automatically record every 2 minutes maybe we could have a way to shut the dvr automatic stuff off but keep dvr on because when i shut it off in setting
xbox record that doesnt work at all so i was told it should but it dosnt so maybe look into that next is a select multiple videos to delete no more one at a time *** it takes forever please look into doing some more with this app

"Xbox record that" is meant for pretty much a single kill only seconds earlier. What you want is "Xbox, snap game DVR". You can then go back about 5 minutes.

Connxtion

You can only record gameplay, ie when playing a game.

Also you don't need to start a recording through Game DVR, you only need to pick End Clip & select 5 minutes.

Also make sure you have Game DVR enabled in Setting > preferences > enable the DVR function.

If you snap the DVR you should be able to start the recording & end it when you want but you can only record 5 minutes at a time.

Yes there is for the 5 minute limit but not for the voice over while recording. I have done up to 10 mins by doing the following.

Snap in game DVR and begin a recording.

Unsnap game DVR

When your finished (i only do 10 mins) go back to DVR - It will say something like 5 seconds recorded sometimes it says differently. But if you look in your videos it would of recorded up to 10 mins.

Lots of videos on youtube about doing this method.

On a side note, cmon microsoft about time you tweaked this app. Something like 7k votes for this in forums.
