DVR not recording sound

ok so the past wee or so I have been taking clips and then when playing them the video shows but there is no sound, yet I can play older clips still on my Xbox and they play both, so im not sure what's going on, and why the DVR is not recording the sound
as well

Why are there DVR controls on live tv?

Upon further research it looks like it should control the DVR on my cable box. Or at least the recordings. But it won't.

From the user guide

OneGuide is not designed to control your DVR. You can use your DVR remote control to access your recordings or schedule new ones.

Note OneGuide’s playback controls (fast forward, rewind, play, and pause) will work with your DVR recordings.

 

Sound delay on Game DVR?

Anyone who has experienced delay on the sound when recording with Game DVR?



Is there a way to fix this?

 

I had this issue as well. The way I fixed mine is using an optical cord from dvr to tv. I'm not sure how yours is set up but this fixed my issues. Also try support.xbox.com for trouble shooting tips.

 

I am using the xbox one. and using the DVR built in to it, and using a HDMI cord that works fine being that it plays video and sound just fine. just the recording doesn't give sound

 

I've had the same issue has sound on FIFA but totally silent on all my Titanfall clips is this a known issue?

 

I ended up fixing my prob, small easy fix, for some reason my HDMI I guess wasn't plugged in or something right. because I unplugged it and plugged it back in and now it gets sound

 

IF the game plays audio fine, and you then start the DVR recording then you should record audio fine. This is not the case since they did that 1404 update.

I found that if you did a reset the DVR was recording audio again.

Power down the machine. Unplug the power from the back till the power block light

changes to orange. Plus back in, and reboot. It worked for me.

 

I havent been getting audio for the past couple weeks when playing titanfall and when I play the clips through smartglass the video plays at a rapid rate still with no audio. I have no clue whats going on with it.

 

Ever since I have streamed to twitch it wont record any audio.
