DVR and Kinect Problem.

Hi Guys,

My Kinect has started saying that it is unplugged even though it is plugged in I have followed all the steps that Microsoft suggest but it still doesn't work I want to send it off but I don't want to find out that it still doesn't work and it turns out that
the Kinect Port is faulty.

Next I am not sure if this is normal or not but when I manually start the GAME DVR it takes around 2 minutes to start, when I end a clip (for example say I end clip to record the last 1 minute) it takes around 5 minutes to actually capture it, as I said before
I am not sure if this is normal but I can't recall it being this slow before.

If anyone could give me any input about these 2 problems then it would be appreciated, if the GAME DVR problem is not normal then would this somehow be related to Kinect or is it just a coincidence?

There's also a good way around this by opening Picture in Picture, then record w/kinect, start it recording then begin your game DVR recording on your game. When done sync them and you have a livecam.

Yes, DVR functionality does drop the video quality. Kinect runs at 1080p.

Xbox one voice commads for my cable box dvr?

How there voice commands to use to get my kinect to use my dvr from my cable box or not. I can't find anything about it on the web and anything i try brings up the game dvr and not my cable box dvr?

Usually the easiest fix is to hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down. See if that solves your problem for you.

If it doesn't you may definitely need to send it in for a repair.

Hmm still doesn't work thanks for the suggestion though, what do you make of the DVR problem and what are the chances that it is the Kinect port on the back of the Xbox rather than the Kinect itself?

It's a RAM issue with BF4 - turn off kinect headtracking and the lean feature in BF4 'Kinect settings' and your DVRs will record as expected.

If it's happening in BF4 turn off all Kinect features and it'll record a segment, it's usually very short with using voice commands. The Game DVR will record to five minutes. There's some issue with memory allocation causing these problems.
