    I reccently bought a new xbox one and im having troubles with the resolution i put it on DVI 1080p and it has no sound and when i put it on anything else like HDMI 1080p the picture doesnt fit on my tv any help?

    No audio through TV when using XBOX One? DVI to HDMI?

    DVI has no audio channel. You would need to buy a specialty cable with HDMI to DVI and RCA.

    DVI has no sound channels,it is for picture only.

    I know that but is it possible to plug like a headset in to get audio or something

    Hi cgcow,

    While HDMI does carry sound, DVI does not. Therefore, when the conversion to DVI happens, all sound is lost.

    As far as the resolution, what kind of DVI cable are you using? DIV-I? (Dual or single link?)
    DVI-D? (Dual or single link?) DVI-A?

    Let us know and we can work from there.

    ... I use a DVI to HDMI adapter and I'm not getting any sound do you know if there is anything I'm doing wrong?
    DVI doesn't carry a sound signal. So it's normal for your monitor to not output any sound if you connect anything via DVI.

    In order to get sound, you will need an additional digital sound decoder that takes either HDMI or optical input, and can decode digital sound and play it on external speakers, or get a monitor with speakers that has a proper HDMI input.

    You will not get sound if you use any DVI component in the display connection.

    the 360 vga is great and it comes with sound but if your monitor has dvi port get a dvi-hdmi adapter
