    DVDs wont play properly


    Recently bought an Xbox360 GO (260gb) games play perfectly on it but once i insert a dvd it shows the picture but you cant hear any audio apart from a really annoying crackly sound. Ive tried various DVDs, and another working HDMI cable. I think its something
    to do with the picture settings as the screen goes black just before the dvd plays. I have messed around with the display settings already but dont really know what to be doing. Any help would be appreciated. Like i said its a new xbox so i don't understand
    why its doing it because my original xbox 360 played dvds through the exact same tv fine. many thanks.

    xbox just says play dvd with a game.

    like it says "play dvd" and wont let game play

    xbox wont read games keeps diverting to play dvd? when i put a dvd in it plays fine but no games work?

    I fully understand what he's getting at.

    My console has issues with DVDs as well. It wont work properly if I try playing a dvd while signed into my live connected account.

    If I don't sign in, or I sign into a secondary non-live profile, it works fine.

    .

    Still, this isn't a support question, more of just a comment about the issue.

    Yes, except I assumed it was because I got One X and there was a problem with that. I was playing DVDs fine at the start of this week, but none of them will play on the new box, acting just as you described: play a second, cut out for a few seconds, play
    a second.
