DVD will not play

I rented the DVD **** or Highwater from Netflix. When i try to play it on my Xbox One S, i get the error: Please try a different disc: We can't play this one. (0x91d70001)

I cleaned the disk, same error. I then verified that there were no scratches and that it would play on my laptop and my work laptop, which it did. Thinking it was a fluke, I got a second DVD from Netflix, but it has the same error. I again cleaned it,
same error, then tried it on my laptops, it would work. I engaged support, they had me clear Persistent Storage three times then restart the machine, same error was received again. Other DVDs/Bluerays play just fine. Support has now asked that I post the
issue to this forum.

DVD will not play

I’ve read every forum I could find and it seems that Microsoft doesn’t have a legit answer. My Xbox was playing dvds just fine. One movie ended and the next went in and would not work. It says to check hdcp permissions.?? I’ve tried every input as well
other cables. No dvd or blue ray will work outback the 50 I’ve tried. Games work perfectly. I do not have internet, so I’m assuming it’s not a software update. I moved from play station to Xbox but now I’m thinking it’s time Time go back. Every Xbox
ive own has had issue. My kids ps3 is still working great. Any suggestions on the issue?

What I’ve done -

Hard reset (hold 10 secs)

Reset settings

Multiple dvd tries

Multiple cables

Other TVs.

 

dvd disks will not play.

I just came back from vacation and it now works. I do get another error from time to time but I can get rid of it by turning the power off and back on.
