DVD/Blu Ray Player stuck on loading screen, but with menu sounds.

I tried downloading the Blu Ray/DVD app the other day for the first time. I've never had any problems with other apps. I stuck in a DVD (non Blu ray) and the loading screen for the app came up. The circle kept spinning while the audio for the DVD menu played
in the background. Never did the screen change from the blue loading screen with the spinning circle.

I would recommend resetting the console to factory defaults - then update to the current update and reinstall the blu ray player app and test it to see if working.

 

Can you try pressing the Guide button to go back home when this happens and then highlight the app and press the Start button on the controller then choose Quit. If that doesn't work try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts
down.

Post back if either of those options worked for you.

 

I'm having the same issue. I have tried both methods you suggested and neither works.

 

Ok, check out the Disc & Blu Ray Settings to ensure everything looks ok

Check or uncheck (as needed) Enable BD Live and then Clear Persistant Storage to see if that improves for you.

 

Neither of these helped me. Any other suggestions. i have tried removing the app and reinstalling, cleared persistent storage, disabled bdlive and still no luck
