DVD audio massively out of sync with Blu Ray Player app

So....every DVD I watch on the Xbox one has massive audio sync issues. Blu-rays seem fine. I've eliminated suspected sound bar issue by putting audio straight through TV speakers via HDMI and audio lag remains. DVDs are unwatchable.

I'm beggining to get really [MOD REMOVED] off that the "One" device for the living room cannot do basic media playback let alone all the other problems we've paid £450 for.... I'm so close to trading in and getting a PS4 which is a shame
as I've been with MS since the original Xbox.

Anyone having the same issue or is this a known fault....or should I just trade in and get a PS4 now?

Xbox One Blu-Ray Player, audio and video out of sync

Surprised this is an issue at all, and quite annoyed too. Have only tried 3 blu rays yet, but all three had lip sync issues.

They all start well, then it skips a beat at some point (similar to layer change of old on DVDs) and after that the audio is out of sync.

XboxOneS is supposed to be the best available blu ray player out there, and yet the blu ray app (APP!) has very bad reviews, and for good reason it seems...

 

Blu-ray Player - audio sync, volume, unable to play disc, and freezing issues.

Within the last week or two I started having problems with audio out of sync, DVD/BD discs not playable, and freezing while either Blu-ray player app is starting or when skipping tracks. I've noticed it more since the forced Blu-ray player app update. The
system volume is also significantly lower when playing discs. Problem occurs with multiple discs, all of which play perfectly on my PS3.

Games, Netflix and TV apps don't seem to have the audio sync or lower volume issues.

Fix it

 

Enable or disable the 24hrz option in settings..disc and bluray. Worked for me. Frustrating as hell.

 

Also, my HDTV has a setting that adjusts the sound in case of lag. You should check the TV's menu to see if you have that option as well.

 

It has nothing to do with TV as everything else that runs through the Xbox One is fine/has no lag. The TV and Soundbar do have options to adjust lag but sound is so out of sync that they cannot adjust enough. Funny how the"suggested answer" is the one that
blames my hardware, not the box.

Will try the 24hz option although I'm pretty sure I tried that when I first saw the issue.

As I said, this lag problem only affects DVDs, BluRays and games are all fine so the only thing that could be causing this is the DVD/BluRay app or the xboxs drive.

 

People have been having this issue for many months. There are threads going back to when the Xbox One came out. I'm having it now, 9 months later. Microsoft needs to fix this, badly. They sold the idea of this as being more media oriented, and this is
one of the main ways people view media. This is a pretty obnoxious error to go unfixed for this long.

 

Is anyone still having this problem? I've had my xbox one about ten months now, and it just started happening. Any feedback or thoughts would be much appreciated!
