    I have a new One X and I found a company that makes dust filters for the side intakes. Would these filters cause overheating, damage, or void warranty?

    Thanks for your reply. This was helpful. I did send an email to the company about airflow restrictions. The dust level in my house is probably normal. I am used to PC's and having the ability to clean it out anytime. I am on the Xbox a lot as I use it
    to stream as well as gaming.

    If they restrict or reduce the amount of air going in / coming out then yes it could be a problem. Does the company provide any documentation on that? When they become dirty you will either need to replace or clean them to again not have an airflow issue.

    Unless you have your console in a "dirty/dusty" environment they are likely not needed.
