  1. Duplicating up on Xbox Live subscriptions


    Bought a new Xbox One recently and signed up to Xbox live on Dec 20th (got 1 month free but couldn't see how to get back to the original 2 month free option when we first powered up the Xbox One?)

    I have a son who is set up correctly as a child account

    Over Christmas he got a 3 month subscription from a family member and he entered that code on his child account

    This means (I think) that we are both running a parallel subscription and wasting a month of xbox live?

    Please can you let me know how we can merge these subscriptions together, and how I only got 1 month instead of the original 2 months offered on the Xbox when we switched it on?

    That is very interesting. And since you get 1 subscription for all your Xbox's you know there are no duplicates, or is a rare choice.

    So are a ton of people still using 360? I wonder if they are gonna make Xbox Live have a free Windows 10 game, and get non Xbox owners into it. Cause I love the free games, its like Humble Monthly.

    Unfortunately there is no option to merge this subscriptions here. But you may phone the support to have it transferred. The proper phone number can be found at
    support.xbox.com/contact-us

    Fot the future: subscriptions should always be done by the parendt/adult accunt so all family members will be able to use the benefits of the subscription.

  5. tried online chat with Microsoft but they said you can't merge - I have no choice but to cancel my subscription - shame that Microsoft don't have a family friendly policy - and shame we have lost 2 free months of subscription!

    any other subscriptions active on your account
    other than Xbox Live Gold? The subscriptions are set up to automatically renew unless the auto renewal is cancelled. If the charge was a duplicate charge for the same subscription made today, we recommend cancelling
    the subscription to see if the account qualifies for an automatic refund. If you still do not get refunded for the duplicate subscription charge, we suggest reaching out to the
    Xbox Support Team for further assistance. Be sure to let us know the results

    Thank you for reaching out to us on the Forums and sorry to hear that you are running into this billing issue. If you look under your accounts

    Order History
    do you see both transactions? If you do see the duplicate transactions then I would advise that you

    Request a Refund
    for the duplicate charge. If you see that one of the transactions is showing up as failed, then I would wait a couple of business days, It could be possible that the transaction will roll off on your banks side as the transaction has failed.
