    Duplicate purchase for children to play minecraft?


    I purchased Minecraft in 2020 for my granddaughter to play on the Xbox. Today my grandson wanted his own Minecraft so I went online and purchased it and downloaded to his laptop, but granddaughter said it was all of her information (coins, worlds etc.) What do I need to do? Is there a way to make a different account? Was is necessary to have purchased two games?

    We understand that you have a query regarding Minecraft purchases and account. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

    First, signing into an Xbox account will be beneficial to a player to save his/her achievements and keep track of in-game purchases.

    Second, you don't necessarily need to make another purchase if you are playing Minecraft in an Xbox Console as you may add an account and set it as Home Xbox. This home Xbox keep the license of the game and any user login to the console can play the game. Different scenario for this since you have mentioned laptop, if your grandson has an account and purchased Minecraft. He will need to sign out the account of your granddaughter to play his own world and coins.
