    Hi,

    I recently changed my netgear router as the old one was faulty. I now get a message multiple SSID found when I try to connect to the internet. I presume the old cache is still in the system? How do I clear this as do not want to rename my router has have
    a network set up around it?

    Hi Tangallio,

    I do not believe you can do this (connect to the strongest AP) the Xbox is mainly used at home where SSID's will be unique.

    You could always share the Win7 PC connection to the Xbox and do it that way, however this will have an impact on your NAT, or you could bridge the connection

    If anyone from Microsoft reads this a solution would be good as "home" can mean a holiday site, university or flats which increasingly have campus wireless infrastructure. Being able to slect the strongest AP by MAC address is critical.

    For those suffering similarly , I found a workaround. Find a router that supports DD-WRT and use it in Repeater mode (or Client Bridge) to re-broadcast the SSID with a different name.

    No way to do this with the present release of the Dashboard for the Xbox360. No idea if it will ever be changed.

    Thanks for trying but these suggestions don't help.

    Dhorse76, my wireless adaptor is physically connected and I already know the connection is failing, just not how to fix it.

    EPC Vicodian, port triggering is not relevant as I am not connected correctly to the wireless and getting an IP.

    Any other suggestions?
