    Duplicate Charges


    I have been charged double the amount on two separate occasions this month. (July 2020). Each time I have purchased 1,000 Apex Coins at 7.99 GBP. After each purchase Microsoft has charged me the same amount again. There are only minutes between each charge.

    The first time it happened was on 5 July and again on 18 July 2020. I only noticed this as I've just checked my bank account.

    The problem I now have is that trying to get this resolved is becoming a nightmare! There are options to 'Chat' which has had no effect at all and looking for a 'Call Back'? Hah! fat chance. The option says 'not available'.

    How can an organisation remove money from my account without authorisation but yet make it nigh on impossible to get it back?

    I am so angry I will be taking this further. It's a disgusting way to treat customers.

    Can anyone help?

    Duplicate charges

    Ya you'll try and get your duplicate charges refunded only to be told you've had to many refunds this year all 8 days of 2022 and yet your order history shows you haven't had any refunds in 2021 or 2022 so you won't get your refund. Then you'll spend six hours online searching for away to talk to someone only to be told by a machine to go back to support where they denied your request(no human involved) and at the bottom of your denile page they'll ask you for a survey(funny right?). Which you then get frustrated and call your bank to contest the charges, where they tell you you might get your money back in 45-90 days. Which leaves you angry pissed off and no one to talk too. Great costumer service right Not!

    If you do then you can request a refund. To get a refund, please go here and copy the the order number https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders/

    Then use it to fill out this form https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/forms/request-a-...

    After submitting, wait for an email on the status of your refund. You should get one within 72 hours and if your request is approved, you'll get your money back soon after. Refunds are processed in 3 - 5 days.

    However, if you can't find it on that link on all the accounts you are associated with, then you'll need to reach out to your bank for assistance on this issue.

    Try contacting your bank and disputing the charge as a duplicate transaction.

    If you haven't done so already, you can also reply to the email you received about the refund to contact the refund specialist. That and the request form are the only ways of contacting them.
