Dungeon Defenders is very fun and FREE

Took too long to get to the action. Passing, but it sounded fun.

 

I am now SEVERELY hooked on this game. One of the games we played over the weekend had over 5,000 enemies!!! At a couple points there must have been 500+ enemies on the screen at once. Just insane!! My Knight is now level 30.

The game does start out slow on purpose to prepare you for what comes later. Especially if you bump the difficulty to hard, insane, or insane +.

Yes we ran into a fair amount of hackers over the weekend. Its very easy to kick them out and other players will join since its drop in drop out. Truly love this game.

 

Loaded it up yesterday and it isn't my cup of tea.

 

So far I only like the knight hero.

I kinda don't have access to my 360 at the moment but I still grab the deals off the site. I bet my download queue is big :/

 

Hmm i might have to check it out. I need to get some game time on my 360 : ) (preferably when my girlfriend is at work lol)

 

I like it as well. Once you get some proper gear going it is easy to get into.

 

My friend and I decided to set a challenge for ourselves. He is using his level 55 knight and I am using my level 20 wizard. We are trying to beat the very first map on insane+. Obviously I am way underpowered so the challenge is very fun. We get
about half way through wave 5/5 and get destroyed. lol As I level up, it will get easier. This little challenge has helped me learn a LOT about the different turrets and different abilities in this game. I have experimented with the fire turrets, the electric
turrets, and even the most powerful turret. The learning curve is actually fairly steep. But once you get the grasp on everything, it is severly addictive. Also while trying our little challenge last night it helped me level from 13 to 20 within a couple
hours. Most of my points have went toward the turret defense. I have well over 33 points just in the turret range of attack. One of the pets in the store last night was 3 million dollars!

From the little I played of Dungeon Defenders about a year ago, it was a lot of fun. If I could just stop playing a certain Xbox One game I might actually fire up the 360 and give the game a go.

 

@CamaroB-That actually sounds pretty wicked..is Dungeon Defenders set up like Iron Brigade where you can put turrets down in certain spots but free to move your character around freely or is your character restricted to a certain spot? I got it downloaded
after reading your first post about it(which intrigued me) but touching up some stuff in a couple other games before starting it.

 

@yellow. You run around freely like Diablo 3 and Gears Of War 3 horde mode. Honestly the perfect description is Diablo 3 mixed with Gears Of War 3 horde mode. Cant explain it any better than that. So once you start setting up defenses, you can either
run out and fight, or stay behind your defenses and watch them do the work. My wizard type character I sit back and watch the defenses work. However my knight (basically a barbarian) I run out offensively. Or you can do both. You can do anything you want
in this game. Simple goal is don't let the enemies destroy the crystal. That's all there is too it. Once you start cranking up the difficulty this game gets insane. I am not joking when I say 1 of our levels we fought off over 5,000 enemies!! That's
in 1 level about a 30 minute battle. There is a fair amount of strategy and intelligence involved to play the harder difficulties.

 

Thanks Camaro..sounds like i'm in for a wicked time especially 5000 enemies lol but Dungeon defenders sounds like a gem.

 

Survival mode is pretty nasty when you have a four man party. Those 30 minute rounds are not a joke either. My dinner went cold before I could eat it one night.

 

We have tried several strategies on Insane+ and have come to the conclusion that if we are going to use 2 or 3 people, we must be higher levels. I think it said the recommended level was 60 but we were determined to beat it with 2 level 20s and a level
55. haha Oh well it was fun to try the challenge the last few days. Came close a couple times.

An angry 3 year old is a lot to be afraid of which is what I would be faced with should I take the 360 back lol! Though its got to happen at some point eh :/
