Try changing it this way.

Go to the top right corner, click on your avatar

click on my microsoft account

Click on "Your Information" on the top tab

go on the date of birth

Change to a date that matches age 18+.

Once this is done, log out your microsoft account from all open browser sites,

wait 20 minutes for the updates to take effect on the server, then click the link below.

Look for the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab

And change the settings "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live", "You can create and join clubs", and "You can join multiplayer games" to Allow.

Once all that is done, wait another 20 minutes to update the changed settings and that's it.

Hi there Fox! Christopher here, an Xbox fan and been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I just had this some problem and am glad I found this question. If you go to your Microsoft account in a browser you can change your account info including birthdate, and then just sign out and then back into game pass of app and it should be good to go.

Is your account part of a family account, if it does, that's why you aren't able to change it, since the manager of that family account is the only one who can do it for you.

Thanks for trying to help but this doesn't work. When I click on "Your Information" and click on "Edit your profile info" it doesn't let me to edit my age

Yeah, I know that. But for example I can't see resident evil 7 on my xbox app. And when I search it, it says "Search results may be filtered because of your age"
