"Due to network limitations, you can't join party chat right now" error code ...

My network is fine, I'm not using a gateway, just a modem and a router. UPNP enabled, I can get 6 xboxes online at the same time. However, when I try to connect to one person (college campus) I get this error. It was fine last semester, so what's changed
since Christmas? The Xbox 360 works fine from that campus, so why doesn't party chat work on Xbox One? Also he can't join some games.

My roomate and I are having this exact same issue. We're living in a dorm, using campus internet. We can connect to people on campus, but no one outside of our network. It worked completely fine before Christmas (and pretty much since the launch in 2013),
but now it gives us the error message mentioned in the title of this thread. All the quick-fixes I see on similar posts suggest opening certain ports or hard reseting the router, but I can't do this.

TheStMichel the problem isn't anything that the guide you linked can fix, I have been writing guides and helping people with XBL issues since the beginning of 360 days. The problem is that since Christmas dorms are having issues like this.

 

The problem related to this code was with the university's internet. The problem was only with the Xbox One, not the 360 but after they fixed it, it's been fine. The other guy in this thread also had his problem fixed the same way. It was a problem with
campus network.

 

My xbox one is very laggy on cod advanced warfare when any others device such as a ipad goes on youtube it be comes un playable instantly

This exact thing is happening to me and friend who live in the same county. Network limitations 0x807d0106 worked fine yesterday.

Check NAT type. If it says Strick, there are certain port that is close. Contact your ISP and let them open the port on your console.

Xbox Live requires the following ports to be open:

•Port 88 (UDP)

•Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

•Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

•Port 80 (TCP)

•Port 500 (UDP)

•Port 3544 (UDP)

•Port 4500 (UDP)
