Dud Xbox one x sold by GAME

Just bought a Xbox one X from Game today and it powers up but doesn't want to connect to any of the controllers including the one in the box.

Can't find a manual in the box, and tried to search one online. No luck.

So this is what happens.

Start the box having connected it to the $K tV. We can see the start up screen, the word XBOX one in front of the Green background. after sometime the it shows the Xbox one x console with the controller picture with the X flashing.

After that no matter what you try to do, you can't sync up the controllers with the XBOX one x. we tried a USB cable as well and no luck.

None of the sol called GURUS on youtube have a video that tells what to do when something like this happens. Most of all Microsoft has a responsibility to Organize it's website properly.

It's not Organized by type of console where you can get specific information or support or even a Chat facility.

Very poor.

I hope someone from the forum will see this and help.

Not to be sounding patronising but when that picture of the controller comes up with the large X flashing you did press that button on the controller ?

I've never purchased a used console from Game myself but have traded a few in over the years, they do test everything works before accepting the trade in from what I saw but of course that's not to say it's a perfect testing process.

If you bought it new, I would honestly just look at returning it for a full refund.

No such thing as a bulletproof system.

To be fair, when bought new, there is a big card setup guide, with pictures.and everything. Dont hold it against Microsoft just because it wasn't included with a used product.from a retailer.

Sorry that your son is disappointed, but it shouldn't be an issue getting it replaced.
