    Dual 3.5mm Pc headsets.

First I'd like to say this has been the most annoying, complex, and just downright agitating experience I've had to deal with. The forums are a mess here, customer service acts like I'm speaking a foreign language, and my head is about to explode.

To get to the point, I have a $300 sennheiser headset, that I'm sure is 10x better than the xbox one specific headsets that they want you to buy. The only problem is, it has dual 3.5mm jacks which are audio in and audio out (one for the mic, and one for
the headset itself). If I buy their adapter with the single 3.5mm jack, (which is extremely frustrating in its own way) and then used a dual 3.5mm converter to a single 3.5mm, Would my headset work properly by picked up chat sounds, and stereo sounds (game
    sounds and people talking).

Please tell me someone on the community can give me a solid answer, its so irritating to pay almost $500 and then have to buy adapters to make things work... ugh. Please help.

You should probably check to see if your headset is compatiable and if so, what others using it have done to get it working. I bought a pc headset and thought i could just stick the pink 3.5mm into the headset adapter for the mic (while the green 3.5mm went
into my amp for game audio) it didn't work

  3. Currently Disgruntled about headset options for XBOX One. Wanting opinions of Other Players

With the 3.5mm on the newer xbox one controllers, most pc/playstation headsets are compatible. Search around or test out headsets you have in the house. You may already have an existing headset that will work fine for you.

I have the exact same question, I have sennheiser headphones and an attached boom mic. Essentially the same thing you have, I've gotten a CTIA adapter (same concept as the one you have pictured) and tested it, it was faulty so the mic did not work. Now i've
gotten a replacement mailed out and I'm waiting for it.

Did you end up getting your's working? I will reply back here after mine comes in if it does finally work.

Will a Xbox One headset with a 3.5mm jack work on PC, What is the Headset plug on the front of the PC?

    Hi Joni

On the casing of your PC is there two 3.5mm sockets, one for Headphones and one for a microphone?

A lot of modern PC's have a combo 3.5mm socket that is used for a headset as opposed to headphones, older PC's do not have the socket

If that is not a combo 3.5mm socket, you can get an splitter for your headset that will split that to connect to a separate Headphone output and Mic input socket

What is the Make and exact Model No. of your PC - that will be printed on a sticker on the bottom casing?

Xbox One Wired Chat Headset on PC

the original headset does not come with a 3.5mm jack but comes with a hardwired adapter that only plugs into the controller, no other way to connect it to the pc other than using a wired xbox controller or the wireless adapter with controller.

be better buying a one hear chat headset from turtle beach that has 3.5mm, or even better any usb headset as pc works with all including usb headsets.

Turtle beach gaming headset no sound

To add to that, you could also try the headset in a laptop/PC or something else with a 3.5mm jack to check if the headset works in another device if you don't have a secondary controller.
