    Hello,

    I just purchased an Xbox One S to be mainly used as an UHD dvd player. After hooking up the system and putting in a UHD movie I was very disappointed to discover that the audio was not being decoded properly through my surround sound. After fiddling with
    all the audio settings and racking my brain I decided to head to the internet. I couldn't believe when I found that you do not decode this audio format. I was seriously disappointed to discover that your console that is being advertised as a 4K player doesn't
    decode the UHD audio to go with it. I really feel and consider this to be false advertising. Audio and surround sound is the whole reason I have made the jump to 4K and UHD content.

    Does Microsoft plan to support the decoding of this audio and if so when, and will I need to purchase a different system to support that? I'm hoping I haven't made a terrible mistake in the purchase of an Xbox One. Please let me know, so if necessary I
    can return my Xbox and buy an actual UHD player

    Please be patient Dolby Atmos and bitstream audio has recently gone into testing with the Xbo Insider community and hopefully everyone will pretty soon be able to use it.

    I have bitstream out turned on on my setup and I all can get is plain DTS or plain Dolby digital. No True DD or master DTS or Dolby Atmos. Is the Dolby atmos supposed to be working for everyone now?

    Xbox One X Dolby Atmos not working

    My Xbox One X is connected to my receiver. When I try to setup Atmos in the audio settings Xbox One X says that my receiver, Denon AVR-4300H, does not have Atmos capability. I am only allowed to choose DTS for the bitstream sound output. Atmos works fine
    with my Samsung 4K player so I know it is an Xbox One X issue.

    The Dolby App does not give any error until I try to view the demo videos where it flashes, "you are not viewing this video on Dolby Atmos." It plays the demo video on DTS instead.

    I have also a issue with dolby atmos

    I have a sony x9005f wtih sonos beam gen 2 if i play straight from the tv the beam sees the dolby atmos sound, but if i am playing my xbox series x i get only dolby digital dts en 5.1 uncompressed. I dont see the option for dolby atmos. How can i fix this?
