    Crackling noise coming from speakers

    I have the same Problem with my Denon AVR.

    If the AVR is set to DTS and i switch within diffrent Devices and switch Back to the Xbox One, the crackling Noise starts. This seems to be a Bug with the HDMI Handshake on Xbox One, because none of my other Devices behave like that.

    What helps is going to Controls and switch the Sound from DTS to 7.1 and back to DTS to re-do the Handshake.

    DTS reverting back to Uncompressed 7.1

    I have an Onkyo and no problems here with the DTS reverting back to uncompressed. But DTS is definitely the way to go if you have it.

    If the blu ray only has DTS 5.1 your Xbox is not going to convert it or something similar to Atmos, it's going to use DTS 5.1 automatically

    Basically, if the content is not available on Atmos (change Atmos for another thing, applies the same. DTS, Dolby Digital, etc) your Xbox is going to use the default or the most compatible audio settings available.

    Yes dts master audio is the best dts. Not sure which the xbox is doing. Either way uncompressed the audio bitrate is much higher than dts master audio. Which I have tested on my bluray player before comparing dts master vs uncompressed. But master audio
    is considered lossless like uncompressed for what it's worth.
