Dropping games back to home screen when live.

Hey all,

So I have been a part of the xbox community for a long time and just recently upgraded to the one. After researching the forums I found much chatter about games being dropped back to the home screen when mid game on live. I am specifically having this happen
a lot with BF4. A lot of the chatter was from a year ago and there was talk of a patch coming out.

Did they come out with this patch? My box is up to date.

If not when will they?

I am seriously considering returning it and just getting a PS4 because there have been no such issues with my friends PS4 and it completely defeats the purpose of having this system if I cannot play games live haha especially when paying to play live...

BF4 Update - Week of Dec. 2

Things I hope they fix:

Audio when entering specific vehicles.

Dropping out to home screen randomly.

Holding Y to pick up an map weapon but dropping it as soon as you let it go.

Trying to join a server as a player and it thinks you are trying to join as a commander.

Game 'taking too long to start'.

I could live with the other bugs. These are what is killing me right now.

are your games dropping out? if not then i really don't see what your problem is or why you would sell your console solely because of complaints about a notoriously broken game made last year.

 

It's not the console, it's the broken mess known as BF4. I haven't had it happen with any game except BF4. If you want, take it back and get a PS4. You can pay for PS+ and then watch all the shut downs Sony has while they do "maintenance" etc.

If you want to take a console back because a developer rushed their game and didn't care to fix it, then by all means, act irrationally.

I've been on PSN for a long time and there hasn't ever been a time I couldn't game because of maintenance. As long as you've been signed in recently you have no problem getting back on. That's just BS.

Battlefield 4 is a buggy piece of junk on PS4 too.

 

^^ You just aren't trying to log in when it's down then. The last time it was down was Nov 17th. It's not BS at all. There are way more issues with PSN being down than LIVE.

PSN down for maintenance. This is literally only one example of many.

If people think leaving Xbox LIVE to go to PSN for a better and more stable online experience is seriously wrong. I've gamed on both for a long time. Granted I use the PS3 and not a PS4, but I still know what it's like.

This is from the article you linked and is exactly what I said. If you've signed in a week or so you have no trouble signing back on for MP.

"Online multiplayer is also offline unless you have signed into the network any time since Nov. 13. Apps like Netflix will also work as long as you’ve signed in recently."
