    Dropped connections, missing features

Over the past couple of days I get disconnected from Live after turning on my console. each time I go to test connection it comes back online but Community, Store and One Guide are blank. The ads are missing on the right side of my dashboard. Are we looking
at another Christmas with limited or no Xbox Live? Or is this just a temporary glitch from the latest update?

    :)

    Missing / wanted features

Tones is spot on. The 360 wireless pads were always wireless so no switch was needed. The new XB1 pads are wired data when plugged in with any USB cable, wireless when not.

  3. Dropped connection, Latency

    Hi Scorpion,

Sorry to hear about the connection troubles. Let's see what we can do.

In regards to the NAT, is this what you did?

    1. Open the AirPort Admin Utility. (It is installed in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder on a Macintosh computer, and in Start > All Programs > AirPort on computers using Windows.)
    2. With the Utility open select your device from the menu on the left.
    3. Select Internet from the menu at the top.
    4. Select NAT from the sub menu.
    5. Check the Enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol check box.

If you have done that to no avail, I would suggest making sure you have 'Port Forwarding' setup:

    1. Open the AirPort Admin Utility. (It is installed in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder on a Macintosh computer, and in Start > All Programs > AirPort on computers using Windows.)
    2. Select your wireless device.
    3. Choose Base Station.
    4. Manual Setup, or double-click the device icon to open its configuration in a separate window.
    5. Enter the password if necessary.
    6. Click the Advanced button, and then click Port Mapping.
    7. Click the Add (+) button and choose a service, such as Personal File Sharing, from the
    8. Service pop-up menu.
    9. In the four port fields (Public UDP) enter port number 3074.
    10. In the Private IP Address field enter the IP Address of the console.

Let us know how that goes, or if you have anymore questions.

Some router's are having a hard time talking to either the Xbox or the live servers , if you are using a gateway that your isp issued you that may be where the problem lies..... you can give us you modem and router model and your isp if you want to try some
    things...

I have a netgear R7000 router and I am using Comcast. no issues whatsoever on anything else. This problem is similar to what happened last December when the entire network went down. Connection issues startesd small, then happened every day and each time
Xbox Support said it was something on my end. By Christmas time all of Live had issues.

Momentary glitches happen, I wouldn't post up for something that happened once. This is three days of the same exact thing almost at the same exact moment. Plug in my Xbox, turn it on, log in automatically, within minutes I get disconnected but it doesn't
appear right away on the dashboard (everything looks normal until I try something on the network and it tells me that I need a connection to the internet for that.). I go to Network settings and it sees my network fine but no info on the services. I run the
Test Connection and it says everything is fine. Come back to the network settings screen and now services are fine. Go back to the dashboard and I am missing the features that I previously mentioned.

I will test things out again tonight. Hopefully this resolves itself.

Might have been an ISP issue. My Comcast was out for hours yesterday.
