DRM protection with the new Edge for Xbox One

Hi,

I wanted to watch a Video on the german NFL TV channel (ran NFL) with the new Edge browser for Xbox One.

But the video does not start because of the DRM protection. (the commercials do of course )

Is there anything I can change in the settings or can this only be fixed by Microsoft ?

Unfortunately there is no way to turn that off from within the console.

To enable Digital Rights Management (DRM) on Microsoft Edge in Xbox One, follow these steps:

Launch Microsoft Edge on your Xbox One console.

Go to Settings > Advanced settings.

Turn on the toggle for "Play DRM content."

Note: DRM content is protected media, such as movies or TV shows, that is only available through authorized streaming services. You must have a valid subscription and be logged in to the service to play the content.

Some people seem to NOT UNDERSTAND what DRM actually means...

You know why you can't put a burnt copy of Halo into your 360 and run it?

DRM.

DRM is copy protection is DRM.

Every game has DRM... Jesus.

It's the way it's policed with the One that has people upset.

A lot don't want to have to sign in online in order to play a game that already has COPY PROTECTION.
