DRM on games?

Interesting you bring up Simcity seeing as the DRM made it unplayble for 3 weeks for alot of people while hackers cracked the DRM and allowed pirates to play the game DRM free for free.

24 check is xbox1 DRM along with the fact that it also has ''games linked to account'' DRM for all games both physical and digital. Aside from that you might get the same DRM as an xbox360

If thats true and Sony puts out 1st party titles with no DRM at all then they are a very brave company. I doubt they will do completely DRM free games because thats not what they meant or at least seemed to mean by No DRM. It would be a huge risk to do that
for them. No new DRM systems is a risk to an extend but not as big a risk as releasing games you can copy very easily,

Lestat,nothing wrong with that? They have effectively cut off atleast 40% of their user base by implementing 24hours system DRM. People don't care about game DRM, they are riled against console being one large DRM for it self. No internet and no gaming even
if publisher hasn't added any DRM in their game. And you really think this is better?

The people suport Sony now not because there is no DRM whatsoever but because there are NO NEW DRM. Everyone fully knows that games with Diablo3 DRM will exist, but thats not why they are angry about. How many more times do you need to read this from people
before this little piece of information gets through to your brain?

You know why you can't put a burnt copy of Halo into your 360 and run it?

DRM.

DRM is copy protection is DRM.

It's the way it's policed with the One that has people upset.

A lot don't want to have to sign in online in order to play a game that already has COPY PROTECTION.
