Drive wont read games

I picked up a xbox 360 fat that was having problems reads games, sometimes it would work first try and then get an error later in the game, sometimes it would take a few attempts to recognize the disk, so after looking online i tried the pot tweak which
didnt really help much so i replaced the laser, ive had two replacement lasers now both with the same problems, the new lasers will read DVD's and CD but not xbox games, its still using the same drive unit/board & motherboard so its not a pairing issue, but
when it tries to read xbox games there is a slight crackling noise coming from the drive until, i have removed the anti-static solder point and the pot has been adjusted correctly, could this be an issue thats not related to the laser or am i missing something
obvious?

Are they even aware of the issue iv not been able to find anything from them themselfs saying that its due to the update from the beta program.Just want some proof that they are aware of it and are going to be fixing it

i also am having this issue what has helped it going to the setting that starts the inserted disk either "automatically" or "manually" set it to manual. so you will then have to go to the games tab and press A to start the game. It has helped a lot. An d
i havent had to hard reset everytime i wanted to change games. It still does suck the disk back in quickly after i eject a game though . VERY ANNOYING! i just let it do it i dont wana grab it while its tryin to pull it in and break something. They NEED to
fix this ASAP. We are all helping Microsoft by being in this program and i for one dont want a broken 500$ console for my troubles "helping out".

Technically, no you are not. The Terms Of Service that you agreed to when creating your account says that Microsoft is the ONLY one authorized to make repairs to your console.
