Drifting controller

Okay,first things first my power box shorted out. I had to wait for ever to get one now I started playing my xbox one again then my joy stick is drifting. I'm not to happy with this "better console" it's messed you guys must be slacking or your product sucks.
my friends have a ps4 and that never happened to them I've been with xbox for years and let me tell you guys I'm getting fed up with this

Xbox One Controller Troubleshooter. Unfortunately for drifting issues, the controller would need to be repaired or replaced depending on your warranty status.

I'm sorry to see any issues with a controller! If the controller is drifting, try out another controller on your console, or try that controller on another console. We suggest having users sync up with friends or family that have an Xbox One to try this. This
will help rule out if it's a controller or a console issue. The basic gist is:

If the controller works on another console,
factory reset your console.

If the controller does the same drift on another console, replace your controller.

Same thing with another controller; if another one drifts on your console, factory reset it, but if it doesn't drift, get a replacement controller.

You can get a replacement controller through our
Device Support page; there is generally a shipping fee with accessory replacements. If you run into any issues, be sure to
contact us via phone or chat support for further help with replacements. Please do keep me updated on the situation, though! We'll want to look into other options we might have if they are unable

I just got a Xbox controller for Christmas. And as soon as I connected it to my Xbox it had drift on the right joystick. I opened the controller right from the box and didn’t get any dust of anything like that near it but still it drifts. I wanted a new Xbox controller because my old controller had drift. Crazy how out of the box it already has drift.

That is strange. I've only ever had stick drift on my old 360 controllers. I don't know if the standard Xbox one controllers have it, but the Xbox Elite controller sticks can be adjusted to have dead zones to avoid drift. Check in the Xbox Accessories
app if you can adjust it for normal controllers.

Have my elite controller set up and still drifts. Can't do standard controller. Did notice they drift worse on any COD.

If the controller has a drifting issue then you will have to wait for the replacement. There really is no fix for drifting issues that I know of.
