Dreamlight Valley freezes on Xbox

Hello DR_153, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your game.

I see you've already tried a powercycle on the console without any luck. As such, I'd like you to try a factory reset on the console to see if that helps. There's an option to keep installed games and apps and your saves will be safe on the Cloud.

Before the reset please delete Dreamlight Valley so you can redownload it after the fact.

Please, reset your console.

Before you continue, make sure you've got the account sign-in information. You'll need it to log back into your console after the reset.

You can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

I was just restarting from the shut down options previously, I’ll remember this incase it happens again. (Hopefully not).

Just to be sure, you mentioned restarting the console, but depending on how it's setup it may not clear all cache etc
Please try the following:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.
   
2. Wait about 30 seconds and then disconnect the console from power
   
3. Wait about a minute (or 2) and then reconnect the console to power and turn the console on again
   
4. Try the start the game again.
   

Those steps I would try first before resetting the console.
