You, too, huh? I also keep a notebook near when I'm anywhere in Tamriel for notes and recipes and sometimes just stats. I just picked up my last start in Oblivion again. My usual tactic is to close the first gate fast while I am not outgunned and then go
walkabout to discover the random gates and nearby landmarks. I don't close any others until I'm level 17. That way I get the best sigil stones and I, too, save until I get the one I want. If I were to say anything bad about Oblivion for me it would be that
I still tend to use the exploits too much. I don't really have the patience or will to work the leveling system but I do use the dupe glitch and permanent bound glitches to get what I want faster.

 

getting all the attributes to 100 is easy, just VERY time-consuming. you should see some of the funny videos people have posted on youtube in oblivion, filling the blades temple with lettuce, making rube goldbergs with the arena fan, having fun with the
arena fan in general. all very funny videos lol.

 

The lore is very interesting, especially race histories and culture.

 

I'm really itching to get into the Dragonborn DLC soon.

 

So, do it already. You can put off the main quest or space it out with all the rest of the side quests. Go, help the local leader and get a house, then wander at will. There are dangers a plenty for the willing adventurer and you don't have to have advanced
the main quest much at all though I think, from my own experience last time out, you have to have gone to High Hrothgar and been proclaimed Dragonborn for the cultists to attack and start that main quest. I believe you can pay for passage to Solstheim earlier
though.

I play Elder Scrolls with my nephew (he knows more about the game then me) and he just smashes the main quest lines until he is out gunned and dies too much. I keep telling him to do some side quests before trying to get to the end of the main quest. Just
brought him Oblivion and he thought all his Christmas's came at once

Haven't finished the Shivering Isles yet but have done all of the Knights of the Nine. Love my new armour from the crusader relics.

 

They were remarkable pieces of dlc, especially the shivering isles.

 

Yea the whole game is great. I had to make a video of the final fight against Umaril the Unfeathered. The story and lore is exceptional.

Having finished KOTN, choose the blessing that boosts your endurance, and activate it every time you go to rest for level up.

The math of the game mechanics will factor the endurance boost into the equation that rates how much health is added on level up. Anyone who plays as a Redguard can use the racial power as well for this.

Gives you a nice big health bar quicker, and bigger overall.

Neat trick. I will do. I have the warrior birth sign as well and use heavy armour and a shield so I'm like a tank now. Lots of fun.

 

Yeah, the faster you can get Endurance maxed, the bigger your health growth, and those two boosts even work after Endurance is at 100.

 

Finished the main questline of Oblivion now too. The last part is awesome. Don't know what armour to wear now though. The Crusader relics or the Imperial Dragon Armor haha. Just have to finish off Shivering Isles now then I can get back into Skyrim and finish
Dragonborn and it's main quest.
