Dragon Age Inquisition Title Screen Freeze

Hello. I was playing my digitally downloaded Dragon Age Inquisition (pre-ordered, but never received my pre-order bonus. However, that's not my complaint; I could take or leave that). It was working; I'd say I was 4-6 hours into the game (roughly. Don't
quote me there), when I started to have a glitch where I couldn't switch characters. After messing with the menus within the game, I decided to save and quit, then restart. Upon restart, I could not get the game to open from the home page, or frok my games
& apps. I restarted my console. At this point the game would open, only to freeze at the title screen. Now, this part is specific enough that I hope it might help define the issue: every time I open the game, I get to the title screen, which says 'press menu
button'. the screen is animated, with music as well as background looping sound effects. These all function fine, until I press the menu button. Then, immediately, animation stops. Music continues for about 5 seconds afterwards, then stops, leaving just the
background sound effects. Eventually those stop, too, and if I minimize the game at any point I return to a black screen. After trying to load the game about a dozen times, I went to bed, and came back about 12-16 hours later, with my console having been off
the whole time. I started my console up, and the problem contunued. All my other games function properly. So, I uninstalled and started to download again. It's now partially downloaded, enough that it lets me start playing. I'm still having the same issue.
Between this and halo, I'm getting incredibly frustrated. My two favorite franchises. Any chance there's an answer?

Dragon Age Inquisition freezes after less than one minute playing

Having a similar issue, game freezes after the load screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still have the issue... and it is listed in the EA forums as well.

I'm having the exact same issue. I have a disc copy of the game, though.

 

Solution! Hold the power button for about ten seconds to restart the console. When you go to play the game it should work after.

 

I actually figured that out last night, haha. Thanks for the response, though.
