Dragon age: Inquisition The Black Emporium

Hello , i was wondering if it was only me having this issue with the new DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition that was supposed to come out yesterday but when i go to the xbox live store the only options are a greyed out "unavailable" and "early with gold". I
don't know if i''m doing something wrong or if this is on Bioware's end or Xbox's. any answers would be appreciated thank you and have a great day everyone.

I talked with both Bioware and Xbox support. It is not on the Bioware side of things. It has to do with Xbox and Microsoft servers. I have a ticket for the support team to find out what's going on. I think a button was not pushed to allow the DLC to download
for those who have an Xbox One. It however was pushed for the Xbox 360 version. So somewhere down the line it is a patch server on Microsoft's side that is not allowing it to be downloaded. Hopefully things will get cleared up. I spent about an hour talking
with both Bioware and Xbox support to get these answers. All I can say is keep the pressure up on Microsoft to get the DLC to where it can become available.

 

Thank you for replying Reatonnsa i really do appreciate the quick response and to have someone else trying to solve this otherwise they might not even know about it. I have seen some people saying its because non-gold members have to wait a week but i found
that just a bit too far fetched even given other companies doing things like that to try and market things like gold and such. So agan you have my thanks and please keep the pressure on microsoft as well have a good night.

 

I downloaded it last night with no problems. When I read, "Early with Gold", that leads me to believe it is a bonus for us, Gold members. OP, you are a silver member, so you may have to wait for it?

 

Eggnogga That is what allot of non-gold members are being led to believe we do not know if that is the case or not. If that is the case i'm sure Xbox will receive backlash from the community and from non-gold members. Hopefully it is not and that there was
a mistake made from Xbox and it gets resolved. I am one of many who find the idea of having to pay for gold to get a FREE DLC a ridiculous notion and will back my friends and others who don't have gold that we shouldn't have to pay to play online just to get
a free dlc.

 

It's called a "perk". MS paid EA/Bioware money to get rights to this DLC first, money they used from our Gold subscriptions, so I see it as a (another) benefit of having a Gold subscription. The DLC will be out in due time for Silvers/PS4/PC users in the
future... for free. I'm not sure what your issue is, as this is just simple business practice.

I don't have a problem with you disagreeing with purchasing Gold, that's fine, but you'll just have to wait for the DLC then.

 

The "bonus for having Gold" thing would be a reasonable idea, if the DLC wasn't available for everyone(Gold and Silver members) on the Xbox 360...

And Eggnogga, Microsoft paid for the rights to get Jaws of Hakkon on the Xbox One first(and anyone on the Xbox One can get it, not just Gold users). They didn't pay for the right to get the Black Emporium first, as evident by the fact that it's available
on the PS4 right now...

 

My "issue" if you can even call it that im just debating topics not arguing, is simply two things. One , they did not do this for the jaws of hakkon DLC so why should this much smaller dlc warrant waiting longer? Two, im fine with waiting a week but it wouldn't
hurt to warn non-gold members about this say before it comes out so we all dont wonder what the hell is going on and why we have to wait and not everyone else. thats all im saying nothing more.

 

As a silver sub and utterly uninterested in MP altogether, I find that I agree with SychoticMage entirely.

 

This is complete BS. No wonder PS4 is winning the race this generation.

 

The reason the PS4 is winning the race has nothing to do with a piece of free DLC on the marketplace. They smartly utilized the Xbox One's E3 disaster to their own favor. Basically, giving them a leg up from the start and have parlayed that into a nice
lead.

Octarin: thank you i agree multiplayer in general this generation has been an utter disappointment to me too many micro-transactions . pay to win , subscription fees , and always online gameplay. multiplayer can be good fun for a while but after that while
it gets boring and i need to play through a good story driven game or maybe play a couch coop game.

 

I read somewhere it was a free download, but I haven't downloaded it yet. My friend said everything in it is crazy expensive and I had just spent most on my money on power.
