Dragon Age: Inquisition Review Round up

Cant wait i have to get some money and pre-order/downloand it from the Xbox store. Cant wait to play a great RPG, then Feb 2015 wicther 3 comes out i belive.

 

Dragon Age II also had great review scores. Lest we forget how that turned out.

I want this to be great and The Keep certainly shows the care they've taken to make sure that choices from the previous two games are going to be reflected.

However I'm afraid I'm going to remain sceptical of what Inquisition is like until I've played it.

 

As I've already stated in numerous threads, watch any Inquisition trailer for 5 seconds and it's as clear as the blue sky they rectified the issue from DA2. It's only a matter of counting down the days until Inquisition starts winning GOTY awards

 

And as I've said I don't give Bioware the benefit of the doubt anymore.

I'll say the game is good, or indeed is bad, when I've played it.

That I've pre-ordered shows that I at least have some confidence left.

 

Not exactly sure why but like Vaynel some skepticism has started to creep into my mind. Holding off on preordering for now.

 

I'm thinking about getting it, right off the bat. I didn't play 1 or 2, but did love Mass Effect 1 and 2. So...

 

Pre ordered! Just wish I could remember my choices from previous games! Got high hopes for this!

 

I still need to try this out on my six hour trial from EA Access, just to make sure. But everything I'm hearing about the open world and the length of the game is promising.

As long as you've used your Origin account, everything from DA:O and 2 will be there. Even if you played those games on PC or a different console. Then when you load up Dragon Age Inquisition and sign in with Origin, that information will transfer over.

This game is easily my most anticipated game of the last 2 or 3 years. Even more so than GTAV last year.

 

I didn't realize that DA2 got good scores. I'm not sure I looked them up before I bought it. I loved the first one, but the second one wasn't memorable in the least. I remember almost nothing about it. The only thing I remember is that I scoffed at all
the times I had to literally run around in circles for many of the quests.

Not only that, but I couldn't believe they reused some of the maps for certain quests instead of creating something new.

If I would have knew all this, I would have just played the first one (which was brilliant) and been done with it. I'm looking forward to the new one though. I just hope it's more like the original, with interesting characters and excellent story.

 

DA: Origins -- 86 on metacritic (www.metacritic.com/.../dragon-age-origins)

DA2 -- 79 on metacritic (www.metacritic.com/.../dragon-age-ii)

So, there was some obvious red flags there. Also, one of the reviews for DA2 only gave the game a 25/100.

 

My personal scoring would be like this:

DA: 0 - 95%

DA2: - 35%

 

DA 2 was so different from the first game, which was one of the most immersive game stories I've ever played. I didn't really connect with many of the characters, and felt like I'd been assigned a lot of busy work. Now we really see if Bioware is in charge
of its own games, or if the mothership is pulling the strings.

 

I forgot about the cut and paste caves and dungeons....

I will definitely consider picking-up Dragon Age Inquisition if it is as good as Dragon Age Origins.

But, I won't even bother with it if it ends up like Dragon Age 2 (where the game is great, but it took too long to build momentum and failed to keep me interested in seeing the through to the end).
