Dragon Age Inquisition freezes after less than one minute playing

Hi,

I'm having an issue with DAI where the game freezes just after starting a game. I've tried the EA forums to no avail, this is the thread there:

They actually suggested asking the official Xbox Support so here I am.

I have no issues playing Destiny, Titanfall, Chariot or Need for Speed Rivals. Only Destiny is on a BD, the rest including DAI are digital downloads.

I've already tried the power cycle option (powering off by holding the off button 10s) and it doesn't solve the issue.

Any suggestions?

The last hint from the EA forums is to reset the console to factory defaults, but I'm worried about losing progress related to the other games...

Anyone else get a NeverWinter Closed Beta Code for xbox one?

EDB it is not in any way better than Dragon Age Inquisition. I have been playing the game for 2 months on PC and DAI along with a multitude of RPGs blow this one out of the water. Is it good for a F2P title yes but better than Dragon Age Inquisition, I
think not.

I just recently purchased a XBox One, along with Dragon Age: Inquisition, but I'm already facing problems.

Every plus-minus 20 minutes, Dragon Age: Inquisition freezes for a few seconds, and I don't know what to do with it.

When I play Mass Effect on it, I don't face the same problem, and so I don't know if Dragon Age or the console is at blame, as I don't have much experience with consoles.

 

Having a similar issue, game freezes after the load screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still have the issue... and it is listed in the EA forums as well.

Petey, I think your problem should be solved by doing the powercycle as they said in the EA thread.

In my case that doesn't solve it

I've tried also changing the location to see if it helped. It didn't.

I've noticed that once the game freezes, after a while the console resets itself, green start screen included.

I'm at a loss... I think I only have the reset option left. Will I lose something?

 

I finally reset the console to factory defaults yesterday.

Then I downloaded the 44 Gb again and continued with my last savegame.

I could play a bit longer this time, had the first encounter where they tell you to use the tactical view.

And then it froze again.

I did a power cycle, tried again...froze again.

I honestly don't know what else I can do to make this work

I'm having this same problem!! I've been looking forward to this game for so many months, and now that I have it, its downright unplayable!

At first I was noticing it bugging during the tutorial at the beginning of the game, and then it froze while doing a save... had to close out of the game. Now, today, it won't get past the start up screen before an immediate crippling freeze!

I've tried closing out of the game and unplugging the xbox to reset it, and also tried going into settings and clearing out the memory clutter for blue ray, both as prescribed by one forum... no use. finally tried uninstalling and reinstalling- and it won't
get past 2% with reinstalling and freezes there. Worse than ever. Now I can't even get it back on my xbox. How could Dragon Age release such a messed up game?? HELP!

 

I think i solved the problem with dragon age inquisition freeze bug. Unfortunately what i have done was go into system settings and find drgon age. Delete it,then take disc 2 and let the xbox download the update first. After, disc 2 is download, take disc
1 and download the 7gb content. This worked for me,so i hope this is helpful.

 

^^ They are talking about the Xbox One version of the game, not the 360 version.

 

So I was having this same issue. After putting in 14 hours of game time the game started freezing on me after about 1 or 2 minutes. After hard restart multiple times, clearing MAC adress in Network settings and restarting failed to work I decided instead
of selecting Continue on the main menu to Load a second to last save. That worked.
