I really recognised all of them. They looked better. Morrigan first appears in a ball gown in Inquisition. She had longer hair. Same character i remembered. She looked different on the console versions of Origins than she did on the PC. Inquisition version
looked like an updated Origins PC version. IMO

I unfortunately didn't get to take advantage of The Keep. I had nothing to import. =[ So I got the default, may as well be Cloud from FFVII, Hawke. I did take great pleasure in leaving him in the Fade though. The Fade is where DA:II belongs. Heh.

  2. So even though Leliana had a different face shape, different nose, different mouth, different hair style, she was instantly recognisable to you?

Here is Cullen because he's the easiest to find because of the Cullen-mancers.

    Cullen in Origins

    Cullen in DAII:

    .

    Yes clearly the same person.

The characters look the same on the 360 as they do on the PC. This I know since I own the game on both.

  4. Dragon Age Inquisition $19.99!!!

Love Disneyland, surprisingly good since it was in France. Love icecream mashed together with apple pie. Kittens are great under some shortcrust pastry.

    huh? a kitten pie? nooo!

I confess to not liking sunny days but that is because I fry like a vampire at the mere suggestion of sunlight. Rainbows are mystical here in the UK as we all want the pot of gold at the end.

Personally I cry under my computer desk as that's usually where I find I'm worthless Dragon Age Inquisition .99!!! ;)

    lol

A short summery of what I don't like about the game:

The look: A broad area but I'm trying to be frugal. Areas from the first game look nothing at all similar. We start in Haven. That's Haven? A mission I enjoyed (I'm a time travel freak) took place in Redcliffe. Well at least they said it was Redcliffe. Did
they not even bother to look at the design notes from Origins when designing these areas.

How can you even remember the locations from the first game and why does it really matter if they don't look the same?

Who are these characters with the familiar names but new looks. I want the number of Cullen's plastic surgeon because that Doc is amazing. He lost a few years in between Origins and DAII but here he's almost a completely different person.

He looks much better! Why not give him an updated, hot look?

Leliana? That's Leliana? I didn't recognise her at all until she spoke. I know people change as they age (well Cullen is the Dragon Age Benjamin Button) but this person had a completely different face shape and personality.

There's a running theme here of complaints concerning changes in both environment and characters? Origins is an OLD game!

and I thought Lilianna was much hotter in Inquisition, kinda dull in Origins.

The controls (and stuff): Where is click to move? Are you seriously telling me that Bioware couldn't manage to automate a character to open a chest or loot a body? They managed it six years ago but it is suddenly an impossibility.

I don't recall it being automated, but I got comfortable rotating characters and playing as each as needed - playing as my tank to crush a wall, playing as a rogue to open a door or chest, etc.

Full screen menus? Why on Earth do the menus need to be full screen? Origins didn't need to do this and still had a quicker and cleaner menu.

Something I didn't even notice, but I'm looking forward to a time when we can use a second screen for menus.

I can't assign my own stat points? In a Dragon Age game, I can't assign my own stat points? Seriously?

Do you mean the build points?? What do you mean exactly? I always designated mine.

*Deep Breath* I could gone on for a long while but those are the ones that spring immediately to mind.

Bizarro is spot on about love or hate though

    Yup

A friend played the game on the PS4 and loved it.

    Tab them and flip them.

Regardless I'm seeing updated versions of the same character. lol I wasn't at all bewildered by the updates. I recognised them. When the characters appeared onscreen I wasn't wondering who they were.

Moving away from minute changes in characters, Agent 47 and Ms. Croft have undergone changes between games, I still recognise them.

Why am I misremebering the console version of Morrigan? I remember she had larger eyes than the PC version. Still got the PC DA:O and Awakening at hand, but not the 360 version. Can't find a comparison online. =[

  7. haha Leliana looked so innocent in Origins. She was a much darker character in Inquisition. Very beautiful.

Maybe my memory sucks, but I recognized them all right off the bat. Well except for Cullen. I didn't remember him because I believe he played a very small role in the circle of magi in Origins. I wonder how so many people remembered him. If you blinked
your eyes in Origins, you would miss him.

You got to see more of Cullen if you played the Circle as your Origin I think. But yeah, he's obviously been to the Black Emporium to use the mirror, or something. lol

I was happy to see Morrigan in Inquisition too, I was all, "Reeeow!" And she was like, "Inquisitor." And I was all, "Mmm hmm." She's a cool cat... so is Flemeth, even if Flemeth is Dragon Age's version [rip off] of Kreia from KotOR II. heh ha. {XD

  9. I remember the first game because I still replay it fairly regularly. I like to replay games I enjoy just as I rewatch movies or reread books I like.

Here's the weird thing. I think the character models look better than in Origins. I just don't think they are the same people.

Yes Origins is an older game but if they can spend the time to make Varric, from DAII which is a newer game, then there is no reason that they couldn't do the same for others.

In Origins and DAII if you clicked on a chest your character would run to try and unlock. You didn't have to move them right next to it before trying. If you couldn't open it and a rogue (such as Leliana or Zevran was in your party) they would suggest you
try them. Switch, click on the chest, and they would try and open it.

Personally I noticed it straight away in DAII and it was even more obvious in Inquisition, as this was meant to be the game that 'fixed' the mistakes of the second game.

I mean Strength, magic, constitution etc. If I want to make my mage a powerlifter then I should be able to.

Argontheos. Tab them and flip them. Look at the face shape, the nose, the eyes, the mouth. That's the same person? If you want I'll grab shots of the PC Morrigan and the 360 version.

S'totally the same person. I could go to bed with one and wake up next to the other and barely bat an eyelid. I'd be all, "Morning chuck." And she'd be like, "Inquisitor." And I'd be all, "Mm hmm."

You'll notice one is beautifully lit and the other isn't... different games. Different lighting, different character models... same character, same setting... vis a vis, concordantly, same person. Heh.

Can you get a screen cap comparison for Morrigan? That'd be cool. Not if it's too much hassle, though. =]

  11. I'm not sure what character is more captivating, Morrigan or Flemeth. I could watch/listen to them communicate all day long. There aren't many games that have the type of depth of character as Origins/Inquisition. I leave out DA2 because it bored me so
much my brain pretty much erased it from my memory banks.

What I would like to know is where is Zevran? He was a character that definitely should have made a reappearance. I wonder what he would look like in Inquisition. It would be so great if he showed up in an upcoming dlc.

Yeah when those two were reunited in Inquisition I just wanted my Inquisitor to take a seat and watch the show. It felt like the devs were giving a treat to DA: Origins players, and it was a treat, but the Inquisitor doesn't know these two half as
well as the player does, but was oddly injecting him/herself into the scene every now and then.

S'like, "Shh, will you! Just hang back and watch the theatre here. Flemeth is going to do some of that 'I existed before there were worlds on which to breathe... so listen up' - type schooling"

I love characters that seemingly know way more than they're letting on, but also show just enough gaps in their knowledge to seem fallible, which is Morrigan. Then there's the characters that transcend that, and just seem to know everything, past,
    present, and possible futures...

That's Flemeth. The weirdly compelling old bird who appreciates manners in the mortals she encounters. lol

Zevran. Yeah, what did happen to Zevran?
