Dragon Age free till 16th march

I see it as an improvement over past DA games (especially the first one) I am not a hardcore RPG guy tho prob explains why I loved this game.

Its a shame more people werent into the MP!! *coughs*

You can only play for 6 hours thought might be the whole 6 days but its only for 6 hours

 

Im with Genchy good game but the witcher i far superior in every way in my opinion

 

Witcher 3 isn't out yet, so a bit early to say it's superior lol But i can't see why they can't equally be good, they're not trying to copy each other. I couldn't get into Witcher 2 though, so I'm not really that excited about the new one.

 

So if I download this will it unlock any achievements or will you have to buy the game for that? Also is it only a 6 hour limit?

 

Agree with the others that you should at least give this a try during the 'free' period, great game.

I will mention that I was about 10 hours into the game before I really started to enjoy it, I was a little confused at first, but once I got passed that it was really good.

 

Great game apart from the dodgy AI, inability to assign stat points, the dull hit point drain combat, MMO fetch quests, and the useless main antagonist.

I swear the War Table was mean to have micro-transactions in it.

The game's only saving grace is the characters (even if Leliana is unrecognisable). The game designers at Bioware seem to be getting worse but at least the character writers still seem to know what they are doing.

 

@ImDrunky im talking about the series DA is good but not even close to the witchers level in my opinion

 

I will agree there Doc, you read any of the books?a good reads if not and a good appetizer for 3. I just find the Witcher world more interesting, gritty and believable. But then I have never been a massive DA fan just played em because of what they are.

 

I put DA on the back burner for awhile. I might pick it back up over the summer game lull. It's an amazing game but it requires a lot of time. If you don't have it, definitely give it a go and get a feel for it.

 

I finally "beat" the game a few days ago. According to Smartglass, my first playthrough lasted 75 hours. Granted, I did a LOT of side quests and other miscellaneous stuff not needed to beat the game. I would say that the game can be challenging at the
beginning on the harder difficulty levels, but the 2nd half of the game is a cake walk. You get so overpowered.

 

Remember that unless you actually close the game on the One the game timer still runs. So many people have hours played when their console is 'off'.

You want over-powered then go for Knight Enchanter. You can walk up to dragons and say "come at me bro!"
