DR3 updating problems 1/19/2014

I downloaded the required update for DR3. After about 2 hours it finally said ready to start! I started the game but when I try to play it says "Unable to load save file. Please wait for install to complete." I also notice an install meter on the corner
of the screen that is 2/3 full but never fills anymore. Anyone else having this issue? I'm so tired of these update problems. I never know now if I'll be able to play my game when I get home. I cringe everytime I see that there is a required update.

how longer downloaded 50% not ready to 2 hour Start 60% or 62% "Ready to Start"?

 

at 85 percent waiting for the install to finish cause I cant even load a saved game either,

 

Not surprising really.

The update is a whopping 13GB.

On a slow connection this will take hours to download, could even take a day if your internet is really slow.

 

I guess like 24 hours in longer by 13GB downlording, really slow. Thank

 

Took about 4 hours last night but that is because I kept having to restart it because it kept freezing.

 

Sorry for the n00b question. I would try it myself, but the other half is playing Peggle 2. I assume that if I pop in DR3, the update ping up and download. Will it be just like on the Xbox 360, where the console is essentially unusable until the download
is complete? Or will it background download?

 

Nevermind. Plugged the game in. Pressed play. Update was already downloaded. Welcome to the future.

 

I have a similar issue, but when i go to my games and apps it looks like the thing is installed. When i start the game and get to the story/chapter select screen in the upper right corner it says installing, but never moves. I tried uninstalling the game
from the HDD twice and have the same issue. It looks like the game reinstalled from the disc onto the HDD both times from the apps tab, but in the game it still shows installing from the chapter select page and wont start. I have left the thing on overnight
both times with the same results. My connection isn't the best 10Mbps down and 2Mbps up. But I know i should be seeing the install bar fill in 10hrs time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...ejo

 

At least you guys can get the game to boot.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing.

After work today I'm going to put forth some effort to get this game to play.

Very annoying though.
