    I have not played PVZ, but I can tell you DR3 is a great game.

    you see dead rising 3 is 10x funner if you have a buddy to play with and talk to. If you don't PvZ is the way to go.

    Two completely different games, if you liked any of the dead rising games you'll love dead rising 3, I didn't care much for pvz myself.
