    Dpad skipping selections on Home Screen.


    A few days ago my dpad for both of my controllers has been acting up it skips by 2 making selection a nightmare.

    It doesn’t occur in games only the Home Screen and other places where you’d select stuff. I have updated both controllers to the current firmware and nothing has changed. I am doubting it is my controllers as it’s both and they are different makes from different years.

    I cannot take apart the controllers to view the insides as I do not have the necessary tools to clean the interior hardware.

    Along side with all this both controllers are suffering from right stick drifting.

    If you have any advice on what to do or what I should do please let me know

    Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your controllers. There could be many reasons why you're having trouble with the controllers ranging from their age (if they've been used frequently) or if there's dirt under the Dpad (you can try lightly wiping the area with a small amount of rubbing alcohol using a qtip).

    However, I have seen a similar issue in the past only once where someone was having their controllers run all the way left or right. In that case it turned out that somehow the frequencies between the two controllers were interfering with each other.

    They needed to remove the batteries from one controller and try using the other to find it worked

    Hi, I believe the globe you refer to was removed and was replaced with the notifications option, from the home screen press left once on the dpad or thumb stick and the notification icon is third from the bottom.

    Nah no need to uninstall. THe trick is told hold the direction on the D pad, then using the right stick select what you want to use, then let go of the dpad with the selection highlighted. When you let go of the dpad, it will select the item you have highlighted
    with the right stick :)
